What is Winter Wonderland?
Winter Wonderland is an annual Christmas celebration designed specifically for individuals with special needs and their families. It is a joyful evening curated for our community to gather, celebrate, and connect over dancing, singing, fun crafts, and holiday activities.
Since 2024, we have come together to support families who share a similar journey. By the grace of God, we have been able to provide over 100 personal gifts to individuals with special needs, as well as gifts to parents and legal guardians across the Roanoke Valley.
Every Christmas, we aim to keep this momentum growing—offering a supportive space to honor one another and build lasting, meaningful connections.

During your time exploring, sharing laughs, and meeting new friends, you’ll have the chance to connect with families and find your seat at our circle.
Our event will feature plenty of dancing with new friends, fun crafts with Santa's elves, selfie booths, and more!
After dinner, we’ll dance the evening away, laughing and sharing fun moments with new friends and your family.

No. This event is completely free for all registered participants.

This event is specifically for:
Children with special needs
Adults with disabilities
There is no age limit for eligible participants.

Yes. Each registered participant may attend with members of their immediate household only.
The registration form will ask families to identify the immediate household members who plan to attend. Please include everyone who will be attending so we can plan appropriately for food, seating, and activities.

Yes. Registration is limited to 70 eligible participants this year.
The limit of 70 applies only to the registered children and adults with disabilities. Immediate household members attending with a registered participant are not included in the 70-participant limit.
Registration will close as soon as all 70 participant spaces have been filled, even if that occurs before the registration deadline.

Yes. Families are encouraged to share any accessibility, communication, mobility, medical, or sensory-support needs during registration.
M&K Circle of Support will do its best to accommodate each participant’s needs and create a welcoming and comfortable experience for everyone. However, due to available resources, space, and event limitations, we may not be able to accommodate every request.
Providing detailed information during registration helps us determine how best to support each participant and their immediate household members.

Registration opens on September 1, 2026.
The registration deadline is September 21, 2026.
However, registration may close earlier if all 70 participant spaces are filled.

Each registered participant will be considered for one Christmas gift valued at under $30.
During registration, families will be asked to provide three gift ideas for each participant. M&K Circle of Support will select one gift from the three choices based on availability.
Submitting three gift ideas does not guarantee that a specific item will be selected.

Yes. A meal will be provided during the event.
Families will be asked to provide information about food allergies or dietary restrictions during registration. Please include all relevant information on the registration form so we can plan as carefully as possible.

If your family is no longer able to attend, please notify M&K Circle of Support as soon as possible. This will help us update our records and determine whether space may become available for another participant.
