Meet the Circle
Mckinstry-Keeling Family
Tony and Shawana Keeling, parents of Desiree, Daija, and Bryce, are the founders of M & K Circle of Support. Their journey began when Bryce was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease at age seven, after years of searching for answers. Despite his challenges, Bryce remains an inspiration, always smiling and bringing warmth to those around him. Known as the “big teddy bear,” Bryce cherishes the holidays, especially Christmas. Inspired by organizations that brought joy to families like theirs, Tony and Shawana created a similar initiative in Roanoke, VA. Their first Christmas event was a success, filled with smiles and a sense of community. This event has grown into a mission to connect and support families in the disability community. With love from their circle, they continue to develop M & K Circle of Support, honoring Bryce’s spirit and the happiness he brings to everyone around him.
Founders
Daija Mckinstry
As the Co-Founder and Marketing Director for M&K, I am also the proud big sister of Bryce Keeling, the sole inspiration behind the M&K Circle of Support.
Combining my degree in Mass Communication and a Master’s in Innovation, I am driven to build a community where families with similar stories can connect and find support. My goal is to share and create endless stories for families like ours, ensuring we bring a smile not only to my brother's face, but to all those who share his journey. We believe that creating a safe space takes a strong and loving circle—a true village.
Co-founder & Marketing Director
Megan Harrison
I am Megan, married with two wonderful sons, two cats, and a fish. I work as a speech-language pathologist. I have known Shawana and her family for a while and have been impressed and inspired by their faith and their strength as a family in supporting each other. I have observed as they have navigated their own medical journey for answers. I have seen the gratitude and effort they all share to pay it forward to someone else. I am privileged to be part of a group that promotes hard work, joy, and wonder for a child and their family as they navigate their own path.

Marieasha Litte
Media/Administrative Assistant
As Media Assistant, it’s vital for me to ensure each family has something to look back on. I love telling stories through photography and videography that help people see the beauty in our differences and understand perspectives they may not encounter every day. I joined M&K because of my experience in music therapy working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since high school. This experience showed me their incredible kindness, honesty, and intelligence, and inspired my passion for sharing their stories and helping others see that being different is something to celebrate.
